Cele i charakterystyka studiów

W trakcie zajęć słuchacze zdobywają kwalifikacje i kompetencje niezbędne do rozumienia, budowania i wdrażania narzędzi i procedur zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi w firmach, w których pracownicy pochodzą z różnych krajów, środowisk i kultur.

W efekcie zdobyta wiedza i umiejętności pozwalają planować strategicznie, realizować szeroko zakrojony proces HR w korporacji oraz przeprowadzać międzynarodowy controlling strategiczny.

The postgraduate studies, conducted entirely in English by the lecturers from the Wroclaw University of Economics, as well as experienced business practitioners, aim to prepare individuals for their roles in international companies and organizations.

Current economy relies more and more on international corporations. The postgraduate program in International Human Resources Management is both theoretical and practical, aiming to shape the attendees’ interpersonal skills, as they are a crucial factor of managerial competencies in MNCs. In addition, another objective of the studies is to profile the qualifications and competences necessary to understand, build and implement tools and procedures for human resource management in a modern international company.

During the course, attendees will become acquainted with the most important factors to be taken into consideration while developing strategies and action programmes for staffing in multicultural environments (especially using tools like the Assessment Center). They will familiarize key elements to consider when developing employment strategies and action programs, such as: performance appraisal, training, development, compensation, motivation, communication and employee integration.

Study modules are geared towards teaching the ability to create solutions that maintain the right balance between what can be universal and standardized across an international organization, and what must be taken into account in the local environment.

At the end of the course, the alumni will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to plan strategically, implement the HR processes in the wide range of corporate settings and carry out the international strategic controlling.

Another essential element of the programme syllabus is acquiring competences in creating direct interpersonal relationships in a variety of international project teams, consisting of culturally diverse individuals. Therefore, a particular area of interest are the conflicts and emotions in the context of intercultural differences, intercultural communication, managerial coaching, culture shock and adaptation, as well as the qualifications and competencies of the international managers. Nowadays, these are crucial aspects of the human capital management in MNCs.
